Analyse Job profitability with variance tracking, billing efficiency, reconciliation summaries, and margin insights across tasks, costs, and meetings.

The Recon tab provides a financial and performance summary of the Job. Think of this as your Job’s financial health dashboard. It consolidates:

• Time variance

• Cost performance

• Billing efficiency

• Profitability

• Margin allocation

Top Summary Metrics

At the top of the page, you’ll see four performance indicators:

• Hours Variance: Total variance between estimated and actual hours. This shows whether the team used more or fewer hours than originally planned.

• Time Variance Value: The monetary value of the time variance. This converts overrun or underrun hours into a financial impact.

• Billing Efficiency: Percentage comparison between billed vs worked. This shows how effectively time is being monetised.

• Blended Rate: Average effective rate across all resources. This helps measure pricing consistency and revenue quality.

Navigating to Recon

Task Reconciliation

This section summarises performance at Task level. It helps you understand:

• If tasks are profitable — how much time was estimated vs. used

• Whether billing aligns with effort

• The internal cost of delivery

• Margin generated from task work

Cost Reconciliation

This section summarises Supplier and external costs. It helps to track:

• Supplier/third-party expenses

• Markup profitability

• Recovery of external costs

Meetings Reconciliation

This section tracks that meeting time is accounted for and valued correctly. It allows you to:

• Measure meeting time impact

• Understand whether meetings are adding cost pressure

Job Recon

Provides a quick profitability snapshot of the entire Job.

Margin Allocation

Gives leadership a quick visual of margin contribution across all categories.
