Timeline

Visualise your Job with a gantt chart view of all Tasks.

The Timeline tab provides a visual schedule of all Tasks within the Job. It allows you to:

  • View scheduled and unscheduled Task duration at a glance

  • Track overlaps between Tasks

  • View assigned team members

  • Add Job Milestones

  • View when Invoices have been Issued

1

Click Jobs from the left-hand menu

2

Open the relevant Job

3

Click the Timeline tab at the top

Understanding different aspects of the Timeline

  • Task Bars: Each Task appears as a horizontal blue bar spanning its default or scheduled date range.

  • Task Duration: The length of each blue bar represents the Task start and end date. When a Task hasn’t been scheduled yet, it will span for the default date range (Job start and end dates) selected when the Job was created. Overlapping bars show parallel work happening at the same time.

  • Assigned Users: Once scheduled, each Task bar includes a small user avatar (or multiple avatars). This shows who is assigned to that Task without needing to open it.
